Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data ScientistGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team as a Part-time remote contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and training custom data models, leveraging cloud-based solutions, and solving complex business problems through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy custom machine learning models tailored to specific business needs.
  • Leverage GCP services such as BigQuery, AI Platform, Vertex AI, and Cloud Storage for building scalable AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Preprocess and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support model training.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of deployed models to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest AI/ML technologies and implement best practices to improve project outcomes.
  • Document workflows, methodologies, and results for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on AI/ML model development and deployment.
  • Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and services, particularly for data and AI/ML applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, along with relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Experience in building and training custom ML models, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or time-series modeling.
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and processes for model lifecycle management.
  • Prior experience working as a remote contractor or freelancer.

  • Employment Type: Part-time contractor
  • Location: Remote (Work from anywhere)
  • Working Hours: Flexible, but must overlap with core team hours (CST) for collaboration.
